Rescue Diver course takes place on Beau Vallon Beach

We are pleased to say that AGA  has been working hard at her PADI EFR &  Rescue Diver course .

Today was exiting the water with 1. a tierd diver and then 2 .  a non breathing diver.........hard physical work but very rewarding  and lots of fun when done with IDC Staff  Instructor Tony and assistant Mervin

Most divers tell us that the Rescue Diver course is one of the best courses they have done.......serious fun !!!.                                                                                                                                   

Long Distance Dive Sites offer good diving

 Due to the seasonally good sea conditions we have been visiting Longer Distance Dive site daily as part of the 2 morning dive schedule:
BRISSAIRE ROCKS:

Lunear Platte, Conception north reef, Brissiare, Dragons Teeth and Shark Bank  were we expect to see  more pelagic fish, larger shoals and lots of rays
SHARK BANK:

Myster week begins!!!

ACADEMY by the  SEA  has begun its first myster destination week of conservation!!  and still the kids have no idea were they are going.

All were collected with bags packed for a week away from home.  Next they ended up at the airport  for a domestic flight  out of Mahe..but to where?????

This group will be back on Saturday.............the next group will already have left......so we should be able to unveil the big mystery of where did they go for 7 days???????????????

Marine Education for the children

Academy by the Sea   is underway again this week.
 An MCSS program sponsored by Save Our Seas,Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort and Underwater Centre  is a week long  beach sided classroom to help educate kids into understanding the need to conserve  nature.........particularyl underwater  species.

Teacher Abbi has been showing students  current Marine monitoring and conservation techniques .....which for the kids meant time in both the classroom and  out snorkelling over the reefs.
Wednesday was the full day trip out by boat .......lunch at Therese Island and lots of fun.
Well done Abbi , teacher assistants and students .
Next week starts the two one week  SURPRISE trips.......... the kids can hardly wait to find out were they are going......so watch this space for more details !!

ALDEBARAN Wreck another success !

Today we visited the wreck of the Aldebaran

  A deep dive of 35-40 meters  over a great artificial reef that has sprung up over the wreck formation.  See photos of before and after !!

New Dive Centre nears completion at Berjaya Resort

We are very happy to announce that we should be moving  into our newly built Dive Centre very soon........we are down to the finnishing touches and internal fittings .........photos to follow when we are 100% complete!!!   BE PATIENT

Thank you for all your support  over the last few difficult months  following the hotel fire . Luckily we were only out of action 24 hours!  and have been running our  dive boats daily offering 3 dives each and every day.  Last night was the night dive at TWIN BARGES........great dive with lots of octopus, lobster and shrimps.

2013's newest PADI DIVEMASTERS

Underwater Centre - Dive Seychelles  continues with  the PADI Divemaster training courses and internships and so far we have 4 happy and successful graduates.

We are able to offer packages that include accmmodation , Divemaster training course and up to a maximum of a 3 month stay for lots of  internship practical work .  All this from a cost of  euro 1800 .

Pre requisite is to be a PADI Rescue Diver with an up todate EFR certification.  However in just   1  month it is also possible to train from an absolute beginner to Divemaster . Courses include :
Openwater Diver, Advanced Openwater Diver, Rescue Diver, EFR and Divemaster course . With accommodation this minimum one month stay is from a cost of  euro  1500 .  How long you stay is entirely up to you .........but must be less than 3 months total.
